Council Votes To Rename Street To Honor DJ ‘Scooby’

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Council members have voted to rename a portion of 14th Avenue North "Curtis Senior Lane" in honor of a popular Nashville radio disc jockey.

Friends and family of well-known local DJ for WUBT 101.1 The Beat Curtis "Scooby" Senior created a petition on Monday seeking a renaming of 14th Avenue North between Jefferson Street and Scovel Street to honor the DJ. Curtis Senior, an active member of the community died in early 2012 of a heart attack.

Council members will vote the ordinance a third and final time in December.
