NASHVLLE, Tenn. – A disabled homeowner was attacked during an overnight home invasion in south Nashville.
Police were called to the Valleybrook Town Homes in the 1800 block of Zermatt Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The resident told police two men forced their way into the home and robbed him. Police said the robbers pistol whipped the man in the ribs, causing him to fall onto a glass table and cut his elbow.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with minor injuries.
Police said it's unclear if the victim was targeted, but the robbers took Xanax from the home.
K-9 and the police choppers searched the area for the suspects, but were unsuccessful. No arrests have been made.
