NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A brave little boy made a very
special trip home from the hospital on Wednesday, just in time for
Thanksgiving.
Baby Andrew
Hagewood was released after spending a month in the hospital. Andrew was born
in February, in desperate need of a new heart.
He underwent transplant surgery at just two months old, but constant
complications kept him hospitalized for months.
He went home for the first time in October, but was re-admitted just a week
later after an X-ray showed fluid overload.
Andrew's parents hope his story will help raise awareness about
the lives that are saved every day through organ donation.
