FRANKLIN Tenn. - Throngs of dedicated shoppers across the country and in Music City spent some time on Thanksgiving Day sitting in line awaiting anxiously for stores to open.

NewsChannel5 found several shoppers waiting in line at several Cool Springs stores.

"I got here Tuesday night," explained Elizabeth St. Vincent who was sitting outside Best Buy in Cool Spring on Thursday morning.

The mother of two was the first person in line. She hoped to get seven laptops for her son's Boy Scout troop. Coincidentally, it was her seventh year in a row sitting outside a Best Buy on Thanksgiving.

"These are repeat people. We see each other on an annual basis so it's almost like a mini-reunion," she said.

Over a half dozen tents filled the side walk behind St. Vincent on Thursday. All filled with people hoping to get a good deal.
