NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Vandals broke into a state office building over the holiday weekend.
The break-in happened on the 5th floor of the James K. Polk building where the Tennessee Department of Transportation houses some of their offices. Officials said it appears vandals broke in. Investigators found visible damaged from where five doors were kicked in.
Fortunately the server room was not touched.
"We don't on the surface see anything missing, but certainly it's been a long weekend and employees have been out of the office for several days, so they'll be coming back to work and obviously the security for the building will be investigating," said BJ Doughty, TDOT Spokesperson.
This isn't the first time someone has vandalized the T-dot offices. Police continue to investigate a similar incident that happened a few months ago.
