FRANKLIN, Tenn.- New details have been released about a head-on crash in Franklin that killed a man last week.
Franklin Police said that on Wednesday, a 45-year-old Thomas Schlapman from Lynchburg, Virginia, was killed when a silver Infiniti crossed over the center line in the area of Franklin Road and South Berry's Chapel Road.
The driver of the silver Infiniti, a 46-year-old, Gregory Powers, a Franklin resident was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and failure to maintain a lane. Officials said at the time of the crash Powers was out on bond for a DUI and vehicular assault charge from July.
Police also believed that Powers was impaired while driving in this crash. They're waiting on the results of blood alcohol tests to confirm their suspicion.
