Rutherford Co. Sheriff Nabs Suspected Burglar

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – The Rutherford County Sheriff nabbed a suspected burglar on the run.

The victim of a surplus supply store in Murfreesboro called 911 to report he was actually tracking a burglar who had driven away from his business with a load of stolen merchandise.

Sheriff Robert Arnold heard the call and responded himself. He spotted the suspect's truck and made a felony stop on South Church Street.

The man was arrested, and police found he is a suspected illegal immigrant who is now being held for U.S. customs agents.

Sheriff Arnold personally returned the stolen items to the supply store.
