Sheriff's Deputy, Local Couple Injured In Crash

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn.- A Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputy as well as a local couple had to be transported by emergency medical helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a crash.

The crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday near U.S. Highway 64 and Robertson Road in Lawrence County. Officials said the crash between the deputy and the couple occurred when the deputy was responding to a burglary call on Brush Creek Road.

All three were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Their names and conditions have not been released.
