NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Authorities in Middle Tennessee caught up with a man wanted in connection with a murder in Alabama.
US Marshals, Deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department and agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation teamed up to find 37-year-old Vennie Keaton. Keaton was wanted for the November 28th murder of 32-year-old Melissa Leann Hudgins, whose body was found in a mechanical room at the Gadsden State Cherokee campus in Centre, Alabama.
Keaton was found hiding inside an old ambulance in an auto recycling yard in Cookeville. Keaton was taken to the Putman County Jail. He waived extradition to Cherokee County Alabama, where he will return pending transportation.
