NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police said a pedestrian struck by a car while crossing Rosa Parks Boulevard Friday night has died from her injuries.
Regina Waters, 30, was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Impala around 8 p.m. Friday. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries, where she passed away late Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the driver of the car, 81-year-old Martha Ward, will not face any charges. Police said Waters was not crossing the street in the area of a crosswalk when she was hit.
The crash remained under investigation.
Rosa Parks was closed while police investigated the scene and reopened around midnight.
