Driver Killed In Interstate 65 Crash Overnight

CROSS PLAINS, Tenn.- Officials said the driver of a semi was killed when his rig went off the roadway on Interstate 65 early Saturday morning.

A spokesperson with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver, Gary Bryant, was killed when the truck ran off the roadway, through a guardrail and down a steep ravine. The crash happened around 1 a.m. Saturday.

The roadway was closed for several hours while crews investigated and worked to clear the crash. Officials did not say what caused Bryant to run off the road.
