LYNCHBURG, Tenn.-
Funeral services were held Sunday for a young mother found murdered last week.
Last
Monday morning, in a rural section of Franklin County, two hunters found
Kayla Quall's red Ford Explorer, and her lifeless body inside the vehicle on the side
of the road. Police say she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Wednesday, police arrested
the grandfather of Quall's children, 49-year-old Michael Lee Curtis and charged
him with first degree murder.
"She was a very cheerful person," said Kayla's father.
"She loved life, she loved her kids, tremendously."
The family says they will honor Kayla by making sure
her children are taken care of. A fund for the little girl and boy, who are both
toddlers, has now been set up at Moore County Bank. Donations can also be made at any First Community Bank branch in Shelbyville.
