Two Sought In Connection With South Nashville Shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police want to find two men in connection with a shooting that left a man critically injured in south Nashville.

Attempted murder warrants have been issued against 24-year-olds Jawaan Terrell Walker and Leon Howard Tyson. Police said both were being actively sought for the shooting of 37-year-old Harry Dillard early Sunday morning inside a condo on Tampa Drive.

Police said Dillard was at his home with two other people around 4:25 a.m. when two armed men entered the condo. Shots were fired, and Dillard was hit.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was last listed in very critical condition.

Police said Walker and Tyson both lived in another unit in the condo complex.

Police said the exact motive for the shooting, including whether it was connected to illegal drug activity, remained under investigation.
