La Vergne Woman Accused Of Embezzling Thousands

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A former employee of a La Vergne used auto parts store has been accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the business.

Police arrested 20-year-old Amber Ison on Friday. Officials said Ison embezzled $340,000 from Grey's Used Auto Parts in La Vergne over the past 17 months.

She was charged with theft over $250,000, a class A felony.

"Ms. Ison was booked in the Rutherford County Detention Center," said Detective Kevin Stolinsky, who specializes in financial crimes. "What happens next is in the hands of the district attorney and the judicial system."
