NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A homeless man was stabbed multiple times by an acquaintance during a dispute at a Madison Park on Tuesday morning, according to police.
The victim, 34-year-old Scottie Selvage, told police three men and woman picked him up in a green SUV, and took him to Peeler Park around 8 a.m. He told police he had been involved in a dispute with one of the men, named Robert, earlier in the week.
Selvage said they discussed marijuana usage, and were on the greenway when Robert pulled a knife and stabbed him several times.
Robert and the other three, who Selvage said were named Kevin, Cody, and Pam, fled the scene.
A passerby found Selvage and called 911.
Police were working to identify the four people involved-- whose first names are all they have at this point-- as well as find the green SUV, which was likely a Chevrolet Blazer.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or Madison Precinct Investigations at 880-3311.
