NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A local pharmacy was basically shutdown Wednesday morning when federal and local agents raided it.
The Nashville Pharmacy, which is an independent pharmacy, is on the fifth floor of the office tower at Vanderbilt's One Hundred Oaks complex.
NewsChannel 5 cameras weren't allowed inside, although DEA and TBI agents were visible both inside and outside of the building.
The Nashville Pharmacy is owned by local pharmacist Kevin Hartman.
Hartman's attorney says they have no idea what lead to the raid.
"It's really impossible to say. A search warrant is an investigative tool and it's just that an investigation. We're cooperating in that. We are confident that it will be resolved successfully and there was no intentional wrong doing here," said attorney Ty Howard.
A TBI spokeswoman referred questions to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Nashville. A spokesman there said he can't confirm or deny there's an investigation.
