ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Robertson County school officials said a failure of an Internet filter is to blame for a pornographic image popping up on a classroom projector, in front of classroom full of pre-k students.
The schools director Daniel Whitlow said it happened at Jo Byrns Elementary. The teacher had shown the students a video, and was trying to go to another website, when the image popped up. Whitlow said that technicians have been at the school to check the filters on the system, and a letter has been sent to parents.
"We certainly regret this situation occurred in your child's classroom. As always, a safe and healthy learning environment is a top priority and we will work diligently to ensure there is no reoccurrence," said Sherry Hall, the school's principal.
