NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A pair of purse snatchers are off the street thanks to police.

James Campbell, 37, and D'Marcus Williamson, 18, allegedly tried to grab a woman's purse early Saturday morning on Broadway. Witnesses say a couple of onlookers tried to help the woman, but Campbell allegedly hit one of them over the head with a lead pipe.

Some officers nearby chased the suspects and captured them about three blocks away. Both of them are in jail facing multiple charges including aggravated assault.
