NASHVILLE, Tenn.- He may not have been born in Nashville, but Saturday night, Keith Urban was honored as a true Nashvillian.
Urban was presented with the Nashville Symphony Harmony Award. The Harmony Award isn't just about music; it's given to a person who significantly contributes to the development and culture of Nashville. For Urban, his award has been a long time in the making.
"For me, it's the specific Nashville aspect of it. Twenty years ago I moved here, and growing up in Australia it was this life-long dream of living in Nashville. And the fact that I've gotten to do that for so long, and now something like this is happening; it is really sweet," said Urban.
Other recipients of the Harmony Award include Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Marty Stewart.
