NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A tractor trailer fire shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near the Fesslers Lane exit for several hours.
Around 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning, drivers called 911 saying they saw diesel fuel pouring out of the truck. The truck appeared to jack-knife and the diesel caught on fire. Fire fighters used foam to put out the flames.
TDOT estimates that the interstate would be back open by noon.
