Police: Burglars Crash Stolen Vehicle Into Market

DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. – Police said two men used a stolen SUV to break into a Smithville market in an attempt to steal an ATM

Authorities in DeKalb County said the thieves first stole a Chevy Tahoe from a car lot in downtown Smithville. They crashed it through the front of a small market on South Congress Boulevard.

Police responded, and the burglars ran away from the store.

Inside the store, police found a heavy chain tied around the ATM and attached to the bumper of the Tahoe.

No arrests have been made.
