Unknown Death Investigation Under Way In Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Police are investigating a death after a woman found her son dead inside his room.

The woman called 911 to report that she had found her son face down in his bedroom at their home on Sawyer Drive and his body was cold to the touch.

The son's name and age was not released, nor were any other details.

Police said they are not calling it a homicide investigation, but an unknown death investigation.

The body will be sent to a medical examiner to determine the cause of death.
