NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It turns out there was a reason Metro Park Officers found a horse tied to a tree in Centennial Park on Tuesday night, the horse and her owner were both simply passing through town on a cross-country journey.
"She's just been my best friend really," said Leslie Fender who owns the horse.
The 54-year-old is originally from Texas, a few years back after suffering a massive stroke he decided to ride his horse Angel to a doctors appointment in Michigan. They have been traveling the country together ever since.
"People offer to pay for her, I won't sell her. I had a gentleman offer me $10,000 and I wouldn't do it, she's my best friend ya' know?" Leslie adds.
After spending the night in Centennial Park, Leslie and Angel packed up their gear and headed off to their next stop, Alabama.
