WASHINGTON (AP) - A law enforcement official said some guns owned by the mother of the suspect in the Connecticut elementary school rampage match the models of the guns used in the shooting.

The official cautioned investigators have not conclusively linked the guns used in the rampage to the ones the woman owned.

The official said state police records show the woman had legally purchased five firearms and all were registered in Connecticut. Authorities were still trying to account for all the guns.

The official was not authorized to speak to reporters about the investigation and spoke only on condition of anonymity.

Authorities said the woman's 20-year-old son killed her Friday, then opened fire inside the school in Newtown, massacring 26 people, including 20 children, then killed himself.
