Victims Of 2011 50 Car Pile-Up Memorialized

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.- The victims of massive car pile-up involving more than 50 vehicles were remembered in a special ceremony Monday night.

In December 2011 dangerous fog caused more than 50 vehicles to collide on Vietnam Veterans Memorial Boulevard. Two people were killed, 18 people were injured and 55 cars were involved in the crash.

A monument and tree were dedicated to recognize the efforts of the first responders on the scene during the wreck last December. The monument also honors the memories of the two persons who died, Paul Warren and James Ziegler.

Honor guards from the Hendersonville and Gallatin fire departments will take part in the dedication ceremony held at Sumner County Administration Building in Gallatin.
