NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was arrested after allegedly trying to take a Metro Police officer's pistol from his side holster.
According to police, 59-year-old Sigurd Barbee never spoke a word after walking up on the officer two different times on Broadway at 4th Avenue South on Monday night.
A small struggle occurred, but the officer was able to get a hold of Barbee and arrest him.
Barbee was charged with attempted assault on an officer using a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
He was held on $32,500 bond.
