MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A bomb threat evacuated the Juvenile Detention Center in Murfreesboro on Tuesday morning.
The threat was called in around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday at the building on South Church Street. The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Murfreesboro Police, and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office all responded to the scene to investigate.
A SWAT team evacuated 22 juveniles, and moved them to a different location.
Bomb-sniffing dogs were used to search the building, and it was cleared by 11:15 a.m.
Court resumed shortly after everyone was allowed back inside.
