BEDFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – School officials in Bedford County are investigating a threat.

Around 10 a.m. Wednesday, the school system received notice that a threat had been posted on a bathroom wall in Lebanon that said someone was going to shoot school children in Bedford County.

Lebanon Police notified the school system, but no other details were immediately known.

Fortunately, schools had already dismissed for the day.

Officials said they had extra security at after school programs, and all schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution.
