13-Year-Old Hit By Car Near McGavock High School

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A 13-year-old was hit by a car outside McGavock High School Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened in front of the school just after 5 p.m. Police said the teen had just gotten off the school bus to come to basketball practice when he ran around the side of the bus and was hit by a vehicle. The 13-year-old sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

He was transported by ambulance to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt for treatment.
