BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Police in Bowling Green, Kentucky, arrested a man who they said robbed a bank by telling a teller he had a bomb in his pocket.
James L. Russell was charged with robbery. Police said Russell entered South Central Bank on Nashville Road on Monday, told the teller he had an explosive in his pocket, and demanded money.
He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said they received a tip that implicated Russell, and he had been arrested on unrelated charges on Tuesday.
