NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A 17-year-old identified as a suspect in the murder of a 59-year-old man has turned himself in.
Police said Donald Floyd surrendered himself Thursday night after making arrangements to meet officers in a Dickerson Pike parking lot near Briley Parkway.
Floyd was wanted for the murder of Ambrose James Jr., also known as "James Ambrose," who was found shot in the head on the ground outside his Lenore Street apartment on December 9.
Police said the victim was known to sit outside his apartment and reportedly loaned money to people in the community. Floyd and James are believed to have been involved in an altercation that led to gunfire.
A Juvenile court petition charges Floyd with homicide. No word if the charges could be moved to adult court.
