NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Four people were displaced by a fire at a home overnight.
Flames and heavy smoke were visible when firefighters got to the house on Winston Drive around 2 a.m. Friday.
They were able to keep the blaze confined to a den.
The four people living inside the home were able to get out safely, thanks to smoke detectors.
"Everyone should have active smoke detectors in their houses, especially when you're getting ready to celebrate during the holidays," said Nashville Fire Department Chief Ricky Taylor.
They went to stay with relatives.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
