DICKSON, Tenn. – Officers were called out to investigate the death of a woman in Dickson County.
The woman's body was found in bed at her home Saturday. The cause and manner of death was unknown. It was unclear if the woman's death was being treated as suspicious.
Officials said the District Attorney General asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to investigate.
TBI spokesperson Kristen Helm said an autopsy would be scheduled to determine the cause of death.
The woman's identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
The woman's husband was being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after officials said he stepped into traffic on Interstate 40 near McCory Lane Saturday morning.
Helm said the TBI was also asked to investigate this incident, as well.
Officials were working to determine if the two events were connected.
