Hundreds Of Families Get Much Needed Christmas Help

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Hundreds of families across Metro Nashville woke up to find a few extra presents under their trees thanks to the Last Minute Toy Store.
"It made our holiday, this whole thing, it made our holiday," said Jennifer Capwell as her kids were opening gifts on Tuesday morning.
Capwell is one of hundreds of parents across Nashville who had their Christmas' made a little easier by the Last Minute Toy Store, a volunteer organization that gives out presents to those in need.
"I wasn't the only one in line, I wasn't the only one in line that long and I know that this morning and it makes me feel good that there are other people just as happy as we are today. And that's really what it's all about," the mother of three added.
After falling on some hard times economically this year, Capwell didn't think she'd be able to have anything underneath her tree on Christmas morning. But this morning her three kids came downstairs to find a tree packed with presents underneath - all of them donated by strangers.
"I think the program is amazing and I can't wait to give back myself."
