ESTILL SPRINGS, Tenn.- A small mid-state town suffered a tragic loss on Christmas Day when their Fire Chief died in an accident.
Franklin County Sheriff Tim Fuller said that Estill Springs Fire Chief Anthony Lowhorn died in a fall on Tuesday. According to Fuller Lowhorn went up on a ladder to change a flood light at his son's house and somehow slipped, fell to the ground and hit his head.
Lowhorn was rushed to Southern Tennessee Medical Center, but died from his injuries. Sheriff Fuller said Lowhorn was well known and liked in the community which he served for more than thirty years.
