CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. – A man has been charged after his wife was found shot to death at their home in Cheatham County.

Investigators said 74-year-old Carl Johnson and his wife 73-year-old Grace Johnson got into an argument at their home on Trouble Road in Ashland City on Tuesday afternoon.

At some point, Grace was shot once in chest. She died at the scene.

Deputies arrested Johnson, and charged him with murder.

He was in court Wednesday, where a judge set his bond at $200,000. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 16.
