Men Charged For Stealing Money, Gift Cards From People's Mail

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Two men were arrested after police said they went through people's mail to steal money and gift cards.

Officers spotted two men going through mail they said was stolen from homes near Pinehurst and Willow Springs Drives.

Police found Demonte Hayes on a bridge, sorting through mail, and throwing unwanted mail into a creek.

They later arrested Nickolas Dillard in his home, where they said they found other people's Christmas cards with money missing.

Both men were charged with vandalism and theft.
