Sumner County Inmate Missing In Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, KY- Police are searching for an inmate said to have escaped while receiving medical treatment in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

According to the Sumner County Sheriff's Department 35-year-old Stevie Robertson was given a one day furlough to travel to Bowling Green to get medical treatment. Robertson was picked up at the Sumner County jail by his father-in-law and taken to the doctor. 

Police said that when Robertson's mother returned to the doctor's office to pick him up, he forced her out of her truck and fled. Robertson was said to be driving a teal green Dodge Dakota with Kentucky tag number  564-NCN.

Police said Robertson was wearing a black and white jumpsuit and was about 6'1" 250 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Robertson was in jail in Sumner County on vandalism and child sex charges. 

Anyone with information about his location was urged to call police.
