James Bagwell
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A third person has been charged in connection with shots being fired after a child took a balloon from a house for sale in Clarksville.
A grand jury indicted 20-year-old Detarius Lee Curry on two counts of attempted homicide and reckless endangerment. Clarksville Police arrested Curry during a traffic stop on December 24.
22-year-old James Bagwell and a juvenile were previously charged after the incident on Barkwood Drive on September 25.
Police said after two-year-old child took a balloon from the home that was about to be shown by a realtor, a man retrieved it from him. That's when an argument broke out and some of those involved got into a car and tried to leave.
The police report said another car with five males inside blocked the sedan and people got out and started shooting. Police found bullet holes in the sedan and in a nearby house. No one was hit.
Curry was held on $100,000 bond.
