NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Forty-two students from Tennessee and Kentucky universities who were traveling abroad for study are stuck in the Nashville airport thanks to storms in the northeast.

Joe Woolley, spokesman for the Cooperative Center for Study Abroad, said the students were supposed to leave Wednesday and arrive in London on Thursday.

By changing airlines and rerouting the students through Toronto the organization expects to get them to London only one day late.

Woolley said the students are understandably frustrated. The trip is only two weeks, so they don't want to miss a minute of it.

But he said the faculty member traveling with them is taking advantage of the downtime by talking to the students about what to expect and about the history of the places they will be visiting.
