Three Teens Charged After Home Burglary

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police have charged three teenagers with home burglary after they broke into a home while the homeowners were still inside.

Police said a neighbor called 911 after they saw three teens kick in the door to a home in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue North. What the teens didn't know was that the homeowners they planned on robbing were still a home. After taking several items teenagers, two 14-year-olds and one 16-year-old, fled on foot.

A short investigation led police to identify the three suspects, all of whom lived in the area near the burglary. When police questioned the teens they also found recovered items taken from the home including a laptop computer.

All three were charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated burglary and theft.
