ROSWELL, Ga. (CBS ATLANTA) - An Amber Alert remains active for two brothers whose father failed to return them to their mother's home in Georgia Wednesday. It's believed they could be in Nashville.
Roswell Police requested the nationwide alert after discovering that
the father, Daniel Cleary, cleared out his Roswell home. Investigators
believe that Henry Cleary, 7, and Ben Cleary, 9, are in extreme danger.
"He bought a Glock a month ago," said the boys' mother Theresa Nash.
"He is drinking. He is under extreme stress because he probably realizes
that he's kidnapped the kids and there's now an Amber Alert."
Ben Cleary, 9, is described as 56 inches, 66 lbs., with brown eyes,
and brown medium length hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue
winter vest.
Henry Cleary, 7, is 53 inches, 60 lbs., with green eyes, brown medium
length hair. He, too, was last seen wearing a light blue winter vest.
Cleary was supposed to return the boys to their mother at 2 p.m. Wednesday, but he didn't.
"I last heard from them on the 22nd of this month," Nash said. "He's ditched his car in a parking lot and he has found a new car."
Daniel Cleary is described as 6 ft., 220 lbs., with brown eyes and gray medium length hair.
They are believed to be traveling in a 2002 silver Jeep Grand
Cherokee with GA temporary tag #10742627, west of Nashville, TN on
Interstate 40.
If you see them, call 911.
