NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police arrested a South Carolina man for the robbery of a Kroger store in south Nashville.

Demichael Anderson was charged with aggravated robbery and marijuana possession. He was taken into custody Friday morning at the home of his aunt, who he was staying with in Nashville.

Police said Anderson was identified as the man who passed a robbery demand note to a clerk at the Murfreesboro Pike Kroger's customer service counter at 3:45 p.m. Thursday. The note said that the robber was armed with a gun, although no weapon was seen.

Police said Anderson admitted to the robbery in an interview, and was preparing to return to South Carolina when he was arrested.

He was held in lieu of $80,000 bond.
