Traffic Advisories For Music City Bowl, NYE Bash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro Police have issued traffic advisories for the Music City Bowl and the New Year's Eve Bash on Broadway Monday.

More than 50,000 football fans will be in downtown Nashville Monday morning for the bowl game between Vanderbilt and North Carolina State at LP Field.

Parking for at LP field for the game is sold out. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Those with parking passes can get into parking lots at 7 a.m. Monday. Gates to the stadium will open at 9 a.m. with kickoff at 11 a.m.

There will also be a park and ride shuttle from Greer Stadium and shuttle service from Renaissance Hotel starting at 9 a.m. Cost is $10 per person, roundtrip.

The Woodland Street Bridge will close to regular traffic at 8:30 a.m. Monday, after The Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will close to eastbound traffic at the beginning of the 4th quarter to more quickly disperse game traffic.

Later that night, tens of thousands of people are expected downtown for the New Year's Eve Bash on Broadway.

A number of streets downtown will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. Monday for the New Year's Eve Bash. They include:

  • 2nd Avenue from Demonbreun to Church Streets
  • Commerce Street from 2nd to 3rd Avenues
  • 3rd Avenue from Demonbreun to Commerce Streets
  • 1st Avenue from Church to Union Street
  • Bank Street from 1st to 2nd Avenues
  • Church Street from 1st to 2nd Avenues
  • Gay Street Connector from Church Street to 1st Avenue

At noon Monday, other streets closed include:

  • 4th Avenue from Demonbreun to Commerce Streets
  • Broadway from 4th to 5th Avenues

And at 6 p.m., these streets will close:

  • 5th Avenue from Demonbreun to Commerce Streets
  • 6th Avenue from Demonbreun Street to Broadway
  • 7th Avenue from Demonbreun to Commerce Streets
  • Broadway from 5th to 8th Avenues
