Downtown Prepares For Music City Bowl And NYE Bash

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- We're just hours away from the music note dropping and the celebration of the New Year.

Crews are already preparing for Monday's "Bash on Broadway."  Music group The Fray is this year's headlining band. There will also be a family friendly hour from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The "Bash on Broadway" is free and open to the public.

For those who would like to enjoy the New Year at home, the music note drop will air live on

Before the note drops, thousands will pack LP Field for the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

Fifty-thousand tickets have been sold to see Vanderbilt and N.C. State face off. Metro Police are already working out traffic plans and issuing traffic advisories. Several downtown streets will be closed beginning at 7:00 Monday morning.
