NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An officer said he was forced to draw his weapon after a man dangled a woman off a third story breezeway.
It happened early Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on Lebanon Pike in Hermitage.
Metro Nashville Police officer Roy Mcelwee showed up after getting a "disorderly person" call. He discovered Christopher Selby holding a woman over the railing on the third floor.
A court affidavit said Officer Mcelwee claimed he drew his gun and ordered Selby to pull her back up.
He did so, and was taken into custody. Selby was charged with attempted first degree murder.
