ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A fire that destroyed a home in Adams rekindled early Thursday morning.
The home was engulfed in flames when firefighters got on the scene on Church Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday. It rekindled just before 5 a.m. Thursday when the roof caved in.
The home was unoccupied when the blaze broke out, as the renters were in the process of moving out. Some furniture left in the home was destroyed.
Firefighters believe it started in the back of the house, but it was unclear what started the fire. The back of the home was gutted by the flames.
Firefighters remained on the scene Thursday morning to put out hot spots.
