Police Locate Two Sought In Deadly Hotel Shooting

DICKSON, Tenn. – Dickson Police said two people wanted in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Dickson hotel have been located.

Justin Keith Treece was captured in McNairy County on Sunday. He was wanted on felony murder and attempted first degree murder warrants. His girlfriend, who was being sought as a person of interest in the case, showed up at her mother's house. Police said she is cooperating in the investigation.

Police were looking for the pair in connection with the New Year's Day shooting of Matthew Draper and Cody Jackson outside the Holiday Inn Express on Highway 46, off Interstate 40.

Draper was killed in the shooting. Jackson was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition. The victims are cousins from Hartsville.

A motive for the shooting was not released.

Treece was taken to the Dickson County jail. An arraignment is scheduled for January 10.

Dickson Police continues to investigate.
