NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A couple has been arrested for allegedly dragging a man inside a car against his will and trying to rob him.

Police were called to a robbery at Gallatin Pike North and One Mile Parkway. The victim told police that he walked to the top of Amqui Bridge when Ernest and Tina Staton got out of their car and grabbed him. They allegedly dragged the victim toward the car and forced him into the backseat.

Once inside the car, the victim said the two tried to steal his wallet.

A court affidavit said two witnesses apparently stopped behind the suspects' vehicle and videotaped the incident on their cell phones.

The victim also told police he lived with one of the suspects, but had just moved out of their house that day.

Tina and Ernest Staton have both been charged with attempted aggravated kidnapping and attempted robbery. They were held on $10,000 bond each.
