WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn.-
It was a spark that has turned into a blaze. A Williamson County mother says the tragedy at
Sandy Hook inspired her to reach out and pray for the schools in her own
community.
Dozens met at schools
across Williamson County Saturday morning. The event organized mostly through Facebook
asked anyone willing to wake up early, to go to their nearest school and pray. They
also walked around the schools 26 times in honor of the 26 killed in Sandy
Hook.
Those in attendance say
while it might seem like a small act, they believe it will have a big impact.
"God says where two
or more are gathered together in unity he's in their midst. And we're gathered
together in unity at this school, at all the other schools, and we believe that
he is present here on these grounds, and we're asking him to protect our
schools."
Organizer Audrey Curran
says they plan to make the prayer walks a regular thing.
